ART 212 - Nineteenth Centrury Art
Course Description: A survey of the major artistic movements of the 19th century. French painting is emphasized and placed in the context of the major intellectual, political, economic and social developments. David, Ingres, Delacroix, Daumier, Monet, and Van Gogh are among the artists discussed. Includes trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
