Course Description: This course explores the ways in which digital media and information technologies are impacting everyday life, culture, institutions and identities. We will address issues of representation, identity, policy, regulation, law, ethics, aesthetics and consumption in the digital era. We will ask: How do digital media and information technologies alter the ways in which we communicate? Play? Do Business? Gather information? Entertain ourselves? Imagine our worlds? Participate in the democratic process? And engage in social change?
