Course Description:This one semester lecture course will cover topics in pharmacology, Scope of Pharmacology, Mechanism of drug action, Absorption, distribution and elimination of drugs, Biotransformation, Dose-response relationships, Drug toxicity, Interpretation of drug concentrations in biological specimens, Pharmacologic aspects of drug abuse, CNS depressants, CNS stimulants, Hallucinogens.
