HIS 113K - The American Experience: The City and the Workplace

Course Description: This course will focus on the political, economic, cultural, and social history of NYC from the colonial period to the consolidation of the five boroughs in 1898 asking the question and attempting to answer: How did NYC evolve into the place we now inhabit?
