Old Core: Fulfills Western History. New Core: Fulfills 3 credits in Area of Knowledge II. Course Description: This learning community will explore the history of the United States from the end of WWI into the Cold War. The English component will use literature (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama) from this period or set in this period to explore the individual human experience within the historical period being studied. The curriculum of these linked courses is designed to develop critical thinking across disciplines and research skills to help students understand the connections between an historical interpretation of facts and the human experience. |
