MAT 107 - Development of Mathematics
Prerequisite: MAT 099 or two years of College Preparatory Mathematics or Equivalent. Not open to Business Majors.

Course Description: Nature and historical development of mathematics, its impact on society with elementary applications. Selected topics chosen from problem solving with sets, logic, probability and expectation, introductory statistics, development of number systems, development of algebra, mathematical modeling process, use and abuse of numerical data.
