Course Description:This is an elementary introduction to statistics focusing on principles and techniques pertinent to psychology. Topics include graphical and numerical data presentation and summarization, elementary probability and relevant sampling distributions, correlation, point and confidence interval estimation, hypothesis testing, and chi-square test for goodness of fit. The software statistical package SPSS is taught and employed throughout the course.
