Course Description:This course is a hands-on introduction to copy editing, line editing, and rewriting as they are practiced in the book industry. The basics of spelling, grammar, syntax and critical editorial thinking are reviewed, as are the tools editors use (dictionaries, spelling checkers, style sheets, house style manuals).
