Course Description: This course provides an introduction to accounting principles, financial statement analysis and the concept of internal control. In addition to learning the basics of accounting and finance in the book and magazine publishing industries, students will also learn about some of the more significant business issues, the strategic forces driving these changes, and the associated financial underpinnings.
