PUB 621 - E-books: Technokogy, Workflow, and business model

Course Description: This course will introduce students to the technology and workflow of e-books, and provide an understanding of the business models. The important business considerations of e-book publishing and fundamentals of Digital Rights Management will be examined in depth. The principles of how e-books are created, the standards used to enable cross-media publishing, and the marketplace of devices will be covered. Emphasis will be on the current technologies and future innovations.
