Course Description: This course involves students in the design, development and implementation of elements utilized in electronic publishing. Students learn the fundamentals and functionality of publishing websites by developing their own publishing website from start to finish using current website design software. Website functionality is discussed in order to allow the student to critically analyze current trends in new media and by giving them the opportunity to develop their own publishing website. In addition, students will learn how to add discussion boards, blogs and podcasts and other popular plug-ins to their own new media publishing projects.
