Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, Communication Arts and Journalism, BA

Our Bachelor of Arts program in Communication Arts and Journalism is located in the media center of the world. This major will strengthen the journalist in you through concentrations in radio and television news, feature writing, writing for print and electronic media, and news reporting.

Upon graduation from this program, you will have well-established connections (e.g. with MTV, Fox Television, and 1010 WINS Radio) through our internship program. You will also have experience with AVID editing systems, professional digital video cameras, and audio-editing equipment through use of our media production lab. Imagine asking the President of the U.S. his thoughts on global warming for your New York Times column.

This is a growing field. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, jobs in the communications field have been increasing steadily.
