Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, Forensic Science, BS

Forensic Science, which addresses matters of law, is a fast growing and expanding field, influenced by the “CSI effect”, a term widely used among legal and law enforcement professionals. Popular television shows inspire students to consider a career in forensic science and also have an effect in courtrooms. Forensic scientists work closely with local and federal law enforcement agencies to solve crimes.

Our Bachelor of Science program in Forensic Science, in New York City is staffed by professionals in criminalistics, forensic chemistry, and forensic biology and has fully equipped facilities, including a new state-of-the-art DNA sequencing lab. It will offer you the opportunity to participate in internships with investigative teams in New York City at major area crime labs, and upon completing program requirements you’ll be able to begin actively working in a forensic laboratory or consider applying for admission into medical or dental schools or advanced graduate studies in forensic science, biology, or chemistry.
