Lienhard School of Nursing, Nursing - Combined Degree, BSN/MS or MA

The nationwide nursing shortage needs well- educated, highly-skilled, and compassionate people to join the health care industry more than ever. Our Accelerated Combined Degree program (CDP) meets this demand by providing you the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) coupled with an optional Master of Science (MS) or Master of the Arts (MA) in your chosen specialty in as little as two and a half years.

Our BSN is designed for students with a bachelor's degree in another field seeking to become registered nurses. Depending upon your science prerequisites, your full-time study in this area can be completed in just under one calendar year. Your MS or MA can be obtained in all of our Master’s Specialties offered.

Our accelerated combined degree program is one of the oldest programs in the nation, having begun in 1984.

Four of our distinguished faculty are Fellows in the American Academy of Nursing; there are only 1,500 Fellows throughout the world. Often, you will work as a graduate assistant side by side with faculty engaged in scholarly research and publication.

A few examples of employers of our graduates include Westchester Medical Center, Mt. Sinai Hospital Center, Montefiore Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Northern Westchester Hospital, Hudson Valley Hospital Center, and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. The average starting salary for our recent graduates is more than $79,000.
