The Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature program in New York City opens doors in virtually any field and most obviously journalism, publishing, communications, business, the arts, law, and education. You will be encouraged to participate in an internship that will permit you to apply the knowledge you learn and skills you develop and, additionally, to take advantage of New York City as a valuable resource for enhancing the relevance of coursework. Available concentrations in this major are Literature, Writing and Literature, and Literature and Culture.

An opportunity to enroll in an accelerated dual-degree program - B.A. English/M.S. Publishing, B.A. English/MST Adolescents, or B.A. English/J.D. Law - is available to qualified majors. Interested students should meet with a departmental adviser early in their first year of study.
