Emmy and Tony Winner to be EIR  
Alan Zweibel, author, playwright, and TV writer, will be an Executive in Residence on the New York City campus on March 29. Zweibel is also the owner of Silly Robin Productions and president of Big Head Productions. He has won multiple Emmy, Writers Guild of America, and TV Critics awards for his work on television including Saturday Night Live, PBS' Great Performances, It's Garry Shandling's Show, Monk, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and The Late Show with David Letterman. He also received a Tony Award for his collaboration with Billy Crystal on the play 700 Sundays, a Thurber Prize for his book The Other Shulman, and his humor has appeared in many magazines and publications. During Zweibel's visit he will be interviewed by Dean Braun and he will meet with students, faculty, and administrators. > Reserve a space at the interview.

NYPD Hostage Negotiator to Visit Lubin
  [NYPD Hostage Negotiator to Visit Lubin]
Lieutenant Jack Cambria, former commander of the NYPD's Hostage Negotiation Team, will join Lubin's prestigious list of Henry George Distinguished Speakers on April 6. He will address students in the Schimmel Theater Lobby on the New York City Campus. Lt. Cambria recently retired from the Hostage Negotiation Team after serving the city for almost four decades and running the team for 14 years. He has been involved in every major negotiation in recent memory and has been called New York's most reliable person in its most tense situations, including some popularized broadcasted negotiations.

New York Knicks Honor Lubin Alumnus
[New York Knicks Honor Lubin Alumnus]
Military Veteran Staff Sergeant Jim Devary '13 was nominated by Pace University's Student Veterans Association (SVA) and honored for serving in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division through the New York Knicks' Hoops for Troops Military program. On December 14, Devary, accompanied by SVA Adviser Robert Rahni and current SVA student President David Cano, and other guests, had an opportunity to meet and interact with New York Knicks players and coaches. He watched the team practice at their Madison Square Garden facility and he was also given game tickets. One of the other stellar highlights is that he was introduced and recognized at half-court on December 16. > see video

Come learn about the
Association of Chartered Certification Accountants (ACCA), the world's leading body for professional accountants, at the ACCA/Pace Student Mixer on March 16 on the New York City campus. At this event students will have an opportunity to meet high-level ACCA members who will speak about their experience with ACCA. Pace representatives, as well as Warner Johnston, USA CEO, ACCA, will be present to talk about Pace's partnership with the organization. Additionally, information about five $1,000 scholarships for Pace students who will be enrolling in ACCA will be announced. Don't miss this unique opportunity!

Shahzaib Khan '17 from Brooklyn, New York, is a public accounting major on our New York City campus. Shahzaib is a member of Beta Alpha Psi (where he won 3rd Place - Best Practice Regional Competition), Lambda Sigma Honor Society, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Shahzaib spent the fall semester interning with Nasdaq in their Tax Department. He says that the best thing about his internship is that he's learning something new every day. He encourages other students to take this time in their college lives to shine! We think that's pretty sage advice from a college junior.

Mark your calendars! The Twelfth Annual Pace Pitch Contest will be held on Thursday, April 14. Based on the Elevator Pitch concept popular in the venture capital community, competitors submit an extremely concise presentation of an entrepreneurial idea, business model, marketing strategy, competitive analysis, and financial plan. The deadline to register is March 21.

It's back! The Pace Mobile App Design Contest 4.0 will be held on Friday, March 11. Based on the popular hackathon, participants form teams to create a concept mobile application using any tool or a scripting/programming language. Students will present their concepts to the audience and judging panel. Prizes are awarded based on judges' expert opinion. Prior registration is required.

Lubin's Beta Alpha Psi chapter is once again offering the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), providing free tax preparation to retirees and individuals with low-to-moderate income. Expand Your International Experience through Lubin Field Studies Courses
This spring, Lubin students will learn about global economies by traveling abroad. Through field study trips, students will travel to Brazil, China, Hong Kong, and Scandinavia. They will visit corporations, universities, NGO's, government officials, discuss relevant local business practices, and participate in various cultural events. In the fall, field study trips will be offered to Brussels, India, London, and another new and exciting destination in the emerging markets.

Movies and the Law
Lubin's Legal Studies and Taxation department will show an anthology of the best English language law movies ever made beginning on February 4 on the New York City campus One Pace Plaza building, Room E-325. The department will kick-off this film series by showing Philadelphia, starring Tom Hanks. Other movie titles include To Kill a Mockingbird, The Verdict, and 12 Angry Men. New CCRP® Cycle Begins
in February 2016
Pace's Certified Compliance and Regulatory Professional (CCRP®) program is an industry recognized professional certification in the compliance/regulatory risk management field. More than one hundred industry audit, compliance, regulatory and risk management professionals have earned this prestigious certification. The program launches a new cycle on Tuesday, February 2. Classes are available in a traditional classroom setting and online (both live and taped), providing 80 hours of professional development ending on June 28.
