On October 23, Lubin and Dolly Wolf Enterprises sponsored the One Day Immersion in TV, Cable, and Digital Entertainment Collegiate Conference. There were interactive panel discussions with media executives and numerous networking opportunities throughout the day. College students and recent graduates were granted unprecedented access to some of today's most successful entertainment and imaginative media thinkers, specifically the distinct keynote speakers of the day - Joseph Ianniello '90, COO, CBS Corporation and Dane Kunkel, founder and CEO, BeachGlow Music Festival: Concerts for Charity, Inc.

[Chair of the Pace Board of Trustees Talks
On November 3, Mark Besca '81, chairman of the Pace Board of Trustees and Ernst & Young's New York City Office managing partner, lectured to students and faculty in Pleasantville on the "Future of Accounting." He talked about the evolution and changes in the accounting industry and how big data will continue to be extremely important to businesses in the future. He also mentioned the important role that the Pace co-op program played at the start of his career with EY (helping him to obtain an internship at the company while he was an undergraduate) and credited the program as one of the reasons he has been so successful.

On November 5, the Entrepreneurship Lab and the MIT Enterprise Forum of NYC hosted an expert panel, Uber-Ization: Overvalued Business Model or Underexploited Platform. Leaders from Axial, Fivver, PRIV, and Handy four exciting gig/shared economy start-ups, presented to a standing-room only crowd. Additionally, MIT Sloan Fellow Michael Schrage discussed the hows and whys of making these business models succeed for customers, participants, and investors alike. >> View pictures and videos.

Israel Entrepreneurship Initiative
[Israel Entrepreneurship Initiative]
This year, the Israel Entrepreneurship Initiative, a program that provides students an opportunity to gain valuable experience with Israeli startups, has welcomed two new partner companies: Eco-Fusion and Voiceitt. On October 29, Voiceitt won a $500,000 prize in the 43 North competition. The five new Dezer Fellows are Virali Jhaveri, Sukun Li, Andrew Morales, Alexa McKenna, and Wei Xia. There is still an open content editor position for Eco-Fusion.

PwC Challenge
  [PwC Challenge]
"CwP Diversity," a team consisting of Beta Alpha Psi students Christopher Gillespie, Kimberly Fong, Thomas O'Toole, Iryna Herych, and Ariel Allen, won this year's PwC Challenge Competition. This year's case study focused on data analytics and Big Data. Participating teams were asked to prepare a 12-minute presentation on a fictitious client's data, then on the day of the competition, teams presented their analysis and recommendations to a panel of judges from PwC. Professor Matthew Reidenbach (accounting), whose teams have won for the past two years, is the "CwP Diversity" team's faculty advisor. As the winning team, CwP Diversity's presentation video was sent to PwC's New York office for the national competition, which includes 46 other schools. Go "CwP Diversity"!

Scholarships Available for Lubin International
Field Studies

  [Scholarships Available for Lubin International Field Studies]
Next spring, Lubin students in arts and entertainment management, international business, and marketing field study courses will visit Brazil, China, and Scandinavia. Students will visit corporations, universities, NGO's, and government officials. They will discuss relevant local business practices and participate in various cultural events. Scholarships in the amount of $1,500 are available for qualified students.

Celebrate Lubin!
[Celebrate Lubin!]
Celebrate Lubin!, the School's signature fundraiser which highlights the accomplishments of our alumni and honors their special relationship with Lubin, honored Steven Ku BBA '91 (Lubin Alumni Achievement Award recipient) and Mark A. Torossian BBA '05, MS '10 (Recent Alumni Service Award recipient) on November 10. We welcomed over 100 guests and raised over $318,000, making this event the second largest in its history and largest since 2006. Proceeds directly benefit scholarships for Lubin students and will provide funding for special projects selected by Dean Neil Braun.

Professor Casey Frid Awarded Social Entrepreneurship Grant
[Professor Casey Frid Awarded Social Entrepreneurship Grant]
The Helene and Grant Wilson Center for Social Entrepreneurship announced the 2015-2016 Wilson Faculty Fellows last month, awarding Professor Casey Frid (management) a $5,000 stipend to work on his approved research project. Professor Frid will explore the emergence of a collective identity among individuals in a rural area in Brazil, and gather insight into the socio-cultural, environmental, and economic challenges this community is facing as a result of the exponential growth of tourism in the region.
New MS in Entrepreneurship
The new MS in Entrepreneurship is a one-year intensive experiential program. Students will begin with an idea, apply rigorous business principles and research techniques, and graduate with both an MS degree and a platform from which to launch a new venture, with the managerial insight to lead businesses toward fulfilling their strategic objectives.

The new MBA in International Finance will leverage students' knowledge of how the global economy works, so that they may add value to whatever organization they join. This program will give students in-depth knowledge of international finance, an understanding of the global imperatives of today's businesses, and distinguished experience with the tools of the trade.

New CCRP® Cycle Begins
in February 2016
Pace's Certified Compliance and Regulatory Professional (CCRP®) program is an industry recognized professional certification in the compliance/regulatory risk management field. This 26-module program meets weekly on Tuesday evenings starting on February 2, 2016. Students take classes in a traditional classroom setting or online. Next Master's in Finance for Professionals Cohort Begins on February 2016
If you are a professional seeking to distinguish yourself in today's competitive marketplace and advance your career, Lubin's Master's in Finance for Professionals program is for you. The 12-month, 36-credit MS degree program consists of a hybrid learning model that combines online study with weekend residencies every eight weeks. Classes begin February 2016.
