Dr. Ronald Filante, an expert on SEC litigation, FINRA arbitration, and financial planning, is an associate professor of finance and economics at the Lubin School of Business. He serves as a consultant to numerous organizations and individuals and was an independent director of the Constellation family of mutual funds.
Dr. Filante has published numerous articles in scholarly journals and popular publications. His most recent work has focused on the issues of IPO pricing, broker/client relationships, and general equity market equilibrium. His recent article, "The Effect of Multiple Factors and Chaotic Behavior on Individual Equity Returns" was presented at the Eastern Finance Association's annual meeting. He is a frequent speaker at financial planning seminars and appears regularly as a financial expert for television and radio.
His current research focuses on strategies that combine fundamental, value-oriented, long-term investing with technical, trend-oriented, short-term investing. In 2010, he published two papers dealing with financial regulation and energy policy.
