In Lindsborg’s Code of Ordinances, the City has created certain design requirements for all zoning districts to adhere to. Within these design requirements, Lindsborg aims to encourage, where appropriate, the “conservation of energy through the use of both passive and active solar systems.” In order to accommodate solar design, the City requires that streets in residential subdivisions have an east-west alignment when possible.
