It is the purpose of Chapter 93, ยง 70 of the Municipal Code for the Village of Patchogue to establish procedures and design criteria necessary to avoid buildings within the Village that lack uniformity or are inappropriately designed and located. The goal is to preserve and enhance the character, historical interest, beauty, and general welfare of the Village and to ensure that the location and design of buildings, signs, other structures, and open spaces in the Village aid in creating a balanced and harmonious composition of the whole as well as in the relationship of its several parts.
