SeaTac, WA ADU

City Of SeaTac
| Suburban |
Requires the primary residence or ADU to be occupied by the owner in order to build and rent out an ADU. The city allows for ADUs in order to maximize the use of existing housing stock, improve cost efficiency of existing infrastructure, increase opportunities for homeowners, and provide housing options for a wide range of income and status. Most ADUs are required to meet a maximum of 800 square feet while preexisting ADUs may have up to 45% of the square footage of the primary residence. The code also sets maximum occupancy, height, design, and parking requirements.
