Riverside County established an ordinance regulating the Construction, Reconstruction, Abandonment and Destruction of Wells in order to “(a) protect underground water resources, and (b) provide safe water to persons within Riverside County.” Applications for permits must include a variety of information on the physical characteristics property, the well specifications, and additional property features, which include other wells, underground storage tanks, and waste disposal sites.
