Pace Data Science Society presents
Pace Data Science Society/IBM Agentic AI Hackathon and Bootcamp
Experiment with Agentic AI use cases at this IBM-Sponsored Event!

Good afternoon!
The Pace Data Science Society and IBM are planning on partnering for an Agentic AI Bootcamp and Hackathon this semester!

Agentic AI is a new kind of artificial intelligence that doesn't just respond when you give it instructions-it can actually act on its own to reach goals. These AI "agents" can search the internet, analyze data, use tools, and make decisions with very little human input. Unlike older AI systems that simply react, agentic AI is proactive: it can anticipate what's needed, adjust to changing situations, and learn from its experiences. By combining large language models (LLMs) with other powerful tools, agentic AI can take on big, complex tasks-like streamlining workflows, improving supply chains, or tailoring marketing strategies-in ways that feel more human-like and purposeful.

Pace students will have the opportunity to utilize WatsonX Agentic AI technology to address a variety of use cases related to daily operations here at Pace, and to apply WatsonX to their own use cases.

The proposed dates for this event are Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th.
Because of the proximity to finals and the end of the Fall semester, the PDSS is gauging student interest in this event first.
If you are interested in attending this event, complete this Google Form and you will be added to additional communications regarding registration information and pre-event requirements.

Have a great rest of your week,
The Pace Data Science Society Core Team
