DESCRIPTION:

Prerequisite: CS 608 and Instructor Permission

Course Description: This course provides a hands-on introduction to Deep Learning. The emphasis is on developing skills students need to solve practical, real-world problems. No prior background in Machine Learning is assumed. Students will begin by learning how to design, implement, and evaluate a pipeline for supervised classification, with a focus on classifying structured data. Next, they will learn about deep neural networks, with a focus on classifying unstructured data - including images and text. Along the way, students will explore the latest applications of Deep Learning, across several domains.
