DESCRIPTION: Course Description: This two-week Summer Institute in Global Health & Psychology will provide exposure to the challenge of conducting research on physical and mental health in a globalized world. Through the lens of globalization, the course will explore the many ways in which the world has changed, created new challenges for individuals and societies, and the challenge of conducting research to help make sense of that change. The topics selected offer a broad and deep understanding of this field, specifically, an appreciation of psychology's relevance to the understanding and solution of global problems, as well as of how psychology itself is affected by worldwide events and forces.
