The purpose of this project is to create a framework which communities can follow that outline strategies of how to implement public health goals into comprehensive plans. More specifically, the project includes four sustainability plans that have been implemented across the United States. In “Examples” of Robust Public Health Policy, it discusses community examples which include active living, emergency preparedness, environmental exposures, food and nutrition, health and human services policies and social cohesion and mental health. The project continues to go into detail on what the strengths and weaknesses of implementing these specific topics into comprehensive plans are and the rankings of each topic area by the counties/cities that participated in the study.
